A walk on a beach,
Both, on bare feet,
She walks up from the south
He walks down from the north
Both desiring distance and solitude
from their party going companions
A serendipity of like human conditions
Both desiring something of substance
And when the distance between them
becomes a mere meter away
the kind salutations puts
the awkwardness at bay
This conversation brief but sweet
so close and within reach,
But due to extreme shyness’s
He continues his southerly saunter
while she slowly meanders the northern shore
both hopeful that this chance encounter
will repeat on their return jaunts back
Where will this sandy sunset
conversation lead?
