Champagne

Tiny bubbles

A smooth languid pour

With a thin frothy head

Clearing as I stare

Into the bullseye from overhead

Leveling the glass

I gaze in wonder

A column of spiraling bubbles

Each minuscule

Yet, identifiable

Unique

Constantly flowing

From the concave center of

The crystal chalice they crest

A pink pool of jubilation

Spheres too fine to burst

Radiate across the surface

Crawling up around the edges

Waiting to tickle nostril and lip

Bursting with crisp fruity scent
