The Self They Can’t Rewrite

Why does recklessness come to us

so much easier than peace?

How do we dream of happiness

but act out of grief and pain?

Do the words we speak

mean we believe them—

or do we only say

what sounds right for convenience?

Shrinking yourself benefits no one.

It erodes your character.

Stand firmly in place,

prove your individuality,

and show your relentless effort

to remain you.

Life sounds simple through someone else’s vision—

but it’s not yours.

Embrace your own value.

Appreciate the time you’ve been given,

knowing someone else’s mistake

can just as easily become yours.

Control fuels enthusiasm.

Enthusiasm births passion.

And passion, lived in the open,

is unforgettable.

Unravel your core—

release the unapologetic self

you’ve kept locked away

to avoid judgment.

Show the world your truest desires.

Imprint it

exactly the way you’ve always envisioned.
