Celestial Compass

Poem

By Carolyn PattonPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

In the silent shadows of my heart's embrace,

Lies a tale of love, of time, of grace.

A father's absence, a void so wide,

Yet his presence lingers by my side.

In the forest of my tangled thoughts,

Where uncertainty weaves and fear knots,

I wander lost, seeking a guiding light,

Yearning for solace in the darkest night.

But amidst the stars, a constellation gleams,

His spirit resonates in celestial streams.

He was my compass, my unwavering guide,

His wisdom and warmth forever abide.

When the whispers of doubt cloud my way,

I raise my eyes to the sky's display.

Each twinkling star, a memory spun,

A reminder of the bond that can't be undone.

His laughter echoes in the gentle breeze,

His love twinkles in night's canopy, at ease.

Through celestial pathways, he paints a trail,

A beacon of hope that will never fail.

So, when I'm adrift in the labyrinth of mind,

His legacy, a constellation, I'll find.

In the cosmic expanse, he'll light my view,

Guiding me home, forever true.

For in the vastness of the night's embrace,

His spirit lingers, a guiding grace.

Though earthly ties may fade and part,

He lives on, engraved in my heart.
