Celebration

Today, the sun shines just for me,

a golden light of destiny.

It’s my birthday — here I stand,

with almost-finished dreams in hand.

My Master’s course, so near complete,

each challenge met, each goal I beat.

I’ve worked so hard, I’ve come so far,

now time to wish upon a star.

Tomorrow, I’ll be on my way—

a holiday begins today.

Abroad I go, to breathe, to roam,

to celebrate how far I’ve grown.

Here’s to the path I dared to take,

to every moment, wide awake.

To words I write, to joy and grace,

to meeting life face-to-face.

So cheers to me, to all I’ve done,

the battles lost, the victories won.

A birthday bloom, a rising sun—

my next chapter has just begun.
