I know
The difficulty in breaking free
Of the false walls
Built up around us
I've turned back in doubt
Collapsed in fear
Lost heart
In the overwhelming glow
Of reality
After the shock
Wears off
You have to drag yourself from
The streaming muddy runoff
Try to stagger uphill
Into the shining rays of
Daylight
Keep faith
Something lies
Beyond the barrier
Outside the subterranean
Refuge you have
Come to accept, even cherish
I will keep calling
Cheering you on
Preparing for your
Panting exodus
And frenzied run
You'll need support
From someone who's won
Someone who still craves
Dank confined spaces
But lives now
In the light
