Caution to the Wind

Standing on the Edge of Something New

By Alyssa MussoPublished 11 months ago 1 min read
Author's Photo: Standing on the Cliffs of Moher, February 2015.

The wind whips as the clouds part,

Puffins soar below and between rocks they dart.

We stand too close, yet too far apart.

We approach the edge, a fluttering in my heart.

To look onwards, so much promise at the start.

Don't ever let go of the love you impart.

And you did it again! What a flex! I really love this one! The soaring puffin imagery was a beautiful way to pull us into the moment

This feels like standing on the edge of something thrilling—love, adventure, or both. The imagery is stunning, and that last line hits just right!

We stand too close but too far apart - We approach the edge with fluttering in my heart - Absolutely beautiful. And standing on that cliff I would have been terrified.
