Flashing blackness
Closing in
A vignette
On my periphery
Even farther
Then I can normally see
Encroaching daily
On my abilities
Stopping my advancement
Causing sluggish
Inflexibility
No's and I can'ts
All that I speak
Focusing impossible
Completion a dream
Dreams evaporated
In the heat of the firing squad
As I cried for them
In the dust
By the guard stand
Squalid and dirty
Like a baby eating
A Popsicle
From the sand
Mother barking and flailing
I stare blankly
Ingesting filth
Unflinchingly
Gazing on at her performance
It is exactly on brand

Wonderfully written <3
nice
This one’s wild and intense! The way it captures that feeling of being stuck and overwhelmed? Perfectly done.✨
Great
