Catharsis of Balance

Tiptoeing the Catwalk of Morality

I can't bleed anymore

Inside I'm no longer tainted

Replaced by purity

Denying

Remembering the misery that you draped me in

Sheathed in that cloak shaking from the trembling

Dragging me down

Pulling me under

Into a depth of nausea

Balanced only by indulgence

Indulgence, which lead to a moment

Of fleeting bliss

Temporary enlightenment

Reality floods back sooner then later

And the shivering world returns

Ages ago I was naive

Unable to grasp the balance

Fighting the only way I knew how

Twisting a shape into something unacceptable

Square peg into circular slot

Reality bludgeoned by this mysticism

Dropping into a void

Swirling amidst thoughts of delusion

In time, this mindset faded

When I tore through

Disconnected the tendrils holding me

Keeping me from moving on

Through anguish I've risen

An archangel gliding into the light

Oneself is precedence

In this world of selfishness

Gently trudging ahead to embark on something new

Something real

Something pure

The way of thinking doesn’t have to change

It merely needs to be controlled

Avoiding trouble before you dive in

Veering around that temptation

Sparks may fly

Synapses may connect

Embrace that

Tread carefully

Right yourself

Before the wrong

heartbreak
