wanting everything yet running away from it,

such torture a self can give

a sensation for each — How is it for you?

staring at a kid on a park there was blue

a pale blue on the side eating sweets

warm. Calm on the sight of raging seas.

sitting on a bench gripping a pen — yellow

tight, more. Like thoughts depend on force measure

Tears. Why? some fall without knowing.

sticks on gowns curse sticks on patches — red

glasses as to candles like pain to quench

Cheers for more. More — to what need?

I see fences on the road, most don’t — purple

psychotic labels on signed sheets, I nod.

A mourning cloth across glittering lights, confusion.

I sigh on sight each night — green

asking the moon how it turns dark places as rest

Safe. There are prisoners of light, said it.

Hide to seek, count to ten all over again

catch my breath can’t count at ten

catching rainbows to die again

How many times are you willing to live and die in a lifetime?
