Love’s casino has winners and losers.
A raucous roulette wheel spinning around.
Where it lands depends on how one chooses,
but taking that big chance might just astound.
Love is a craps game when throwing the dice,
tumultuously rolling to a stop.
Sometimes it’s failure ending with snake eyes.
Winners keep trying to avoid the flop.
Love is a one-armed bandit’s teasing ploy,
making promises that will rob you blind.
Playing all night makes you its worn-out toy,
or the happy ending you hoped to find.
Losing is a dark and cold walk of shame.
Winning is the light of love’s endless game.

You Think I Am Broken
Introduction This is inspired by my situation on Vocal, the Bouke de Vries work and the Screaming Trees song. I know that for many others, they would have walked away from Vocal, but I am taking it as a challenge. I get the feeling that Vocal moderators and others don't want me here (just my imposter syndrome paranoia), but I know a lot of people do, and obviously, some on Vocal do value me, so I will not be giving up.

Wild Card Weekend Recap: What Happens Now?
I think I figured out why I love Wild Card Weekend so much. It's because it's the first playoff anything of the calendar year. The NFL season starts in the fall, and once upon a time, the champion was crowned either on or slightly before New Year's. The evolution of the NFL schedule has resulted in the playoffs starting just into the New Year, and currently, the final week of the season falls on the first weekend of the New Year, with Wild Card Weekend coming a week after that. So yes, chronologically, the NFL's Wild Card Weekend serves as the first playoff anything of the calendar year.
