Beautiful and Sad, Upon the Sun

By Taylor M WelchPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I saw her dark hair fall

Across her snow-white back

Right then and there, I felt so small

Before the one, my heart would crack

And split in two, all filled with glass

The warmth did spread throughout my face

Above my head the clouds did pass

With the thought of my own case

The case, you see, was rather bleak

I fell in love without return

She said it was not me she seeks

I stood so still I surely burned

I have gone away from here

Because the sun kept me in fear
