You gorgeous creature
Slinking your way
Into my inner sanctum
My thoughts are mine
Yet here you are
So then, let me
Praise your beauty
While you're here
I adore your claws, your teeth
Luxurious silken hairs
Strewn across my lap
Do not mistake
My moniker for you
As inferior designation
You are an animal
Intimately known for your
Enduring creatural prowess
Deservedly revered
No mere human
Could know existence
As you do
Everyday they walk around
Self-conscious
Self-aware
Self-possessed
(Not to mention, self-obsessed)
But you - you lick the feelings
Off the sidewalk
From the throats of lovers
Tasting the air
For the scent of inspiration
And the flavour of sorrow
Magnificently clawing
Raw, zoetic materials
Meaning into being
I have no desire
To own you
Cage you
Or even paint your visage
Your awesome presence
Would be rendered cheap
In two dimensions
Prowl the wilderness
I guarantee, you will easily find
Unwary prey
Happy to fall
Into your notebook
Ready and willing
To be torn asunder
An ecstatic sacrifice
Made eternal
Within the holy passages
Of your next poem

Whoaa, it's such a wildly beautiful, just like the creature it's written for (aka me?! I'm honored 🥹). I'm so sorry gurl I didn’t catch up on this sooner—studies really fried my brain into academic soup. 😩 But OMG thank you for writing this!! It’s such a joy and honor to meet you on this platform. You’re absolutely lovely and wildly talented—don’t ever stop! 💖🔥
Awww, thank you soooo muchhhhhh for this poem! That's so sweet of you 🥹❤️ Also, zoetic is a new word for me! Loved your poem!

Oh my god, I absolutely LOVED this. The raw power and passion and vision in your writing makes me so honored to be one of its tributes ♥️♥️
I loved the dedication but not as much as I loved the poem. Sort of menacing but also has majesty.
