I misread all the signs

Ignored the obvious

And now I’m in a car on fire

There’s a line of traffic behind me

I wish I could tell them all I’m sorry

I didn’t mean to interrupt their lives

You see, my car, he told me it was normal

And by the time the fire started, the doors were sealed shut

Now people are trying to get to me

But the flames turn their skin and clothes to ash

I try to tell them to forget me, let me burn in this mess I made

And eventually I hope they’ll listen
