Searching for the perfect ratio,
smooth light illuminates the scene,
brightness regulated,
controlled and calculated,
the true false of composition
There are rules, steps, techniques
to creating a perfect photo,
adjusted settings for optimal outcome,
grey and straight cut, achromatic
A crime, to be unimaginative,
to distrust the creative process,
your own perspective and judgment,
your eye
My eye, the camera’s host,
positioned at the window slit,
gazing through the mirrored tunnel and
into the world of art
A torrent of saturation,
the colour theory come to life,
interchanging tones, casts, and
shadows as I click the shutter button
down
Released onto the imaging screen,
the moment I saw with my eyes,
the moment I felt with my emotion,
a moment that captured the hue of my
internal being, my essence
