Who spiked my water?
Help!
I can’t sleep….
I think someone gave me
Caffeine!
It’s way past midnight
I should be tired
But I’m buzzing
From the days events
From the to do list
Still pending
I’m buzzing from life
😴💤😴
Don’t worry
Don’t fret for me
Another game
Until my eyes grow weary
Then I’ll sleep ‘til
The alarm blares and my eyes
Well, they’ll fight the morning
And I’ll pull the covers over my head
Hit the snooze and mumble
“Just 5 more minutes.”
😴💤😴
I’m not sure why I’m not sleeping tonight. I’ve barely made it past 11:30 the last few weeks. Whatever it is, I’m kind of glad. Yes! I’ll be tired tomorrow but I’m enjoying this quiet time. At least for the moment.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
