He wore the crown

all knees did bow

even those in papal gowns

He annulled his vows

left the Spanish cow

for new land to plow

and then

He wed Anne Boleyn

a son she promised him

which never came to fruition

so He told some lies

about who touched her thighs

and sealed her execution
