Ocean Depths

Feeling like a tide, a wave.

Pulled in and pushed out.

I try to help.

I’m engulfed by emotions.

I see her choking, she...

Told me to leave, but I want to stay.

I ignored her signs, her love went astray.

I begged for her to let me in.

Let her beat me all over again.

She just needs a friend.

Someone who holds her when she’s suffering.

I know it.

I’ll be the one left open, blood flowing.

If it means I can save her from this ocean.

It swallowed her deep.

Black beneath her feet as she sinks.

If you think for one second that I’m not there to give her breath again.

You’re Stupid.

She clung to me with a loose grip

And I’ll bring her back up.

Because I know that she’ll get through it.

So, listen.

Every tide has a wave

And one day, things will change.

She’ll smile again.

With her feet in the sand.

Looking across the water

At the times she could not stand.

And here I’ll be, watching her happily

A smile on my face.

Grateful for the strength that was bestowed onto me by the greats.
