In my dream, I flew through the sky
On the back of a giant butterfly
We soared above the clouds, free as can be
The wind rushing through my hair, wild and free
The world below was a blur of color
But up here, everything was so much brighter
The sun shone down, a brilliant gold
As we danced and twirled, our bodies bold
We flew over mountains and valleys so deep
Past forests and rivers, our journey to keep
The butterfly fluttered its wings with grace
As we flew through space, at an amazing pace
But suddenly, the butterfly began to fade
Into the distance, it slowly waded
I woke up with a start, feeling quite bereft
But the memory of that dream will stay with me, left
So even though it was just a silly dream
It gave me inspiration, or so it would seem
To write this poem, with all its quirks and twists
A reminder that sometimes, the craziest things can be the best.
