I really don’t know much about writing

Except that my metaphors aren’t very good

And my poems aren’t very important

Because my wretched heart has been stuck

in your back pocket for a year

and people are dying !!!

But I am on google docs hoping

you will learn to love me right

and I know that I am wrong

but if there is no poetry in the in between

if there is no five minute truce for coffee

Then the people dying lived for nothing

and my google doc is even less than

black and white

it is just obituary and gravestone

on the crust of the blue rock

and war is our only language

So no I don’t know much about writing

but,

I know but,

and I love her so bad.
