Like a Star Dying

I'll burn like the sun,

just before it goes out.

Radiate light, and then go down.

But in that fleeting blaze,

I’ll carve my name on the night sky,

Etching stories in the twilight’s embrace,

Flickering dreams as I fade into the darkness.

Like a star, I’ll spill my secrets,

In bursts of fire and silent whispers,

Scattering fragments of my soul,

Across the vast, unyielding blackness.

As my light dims,

I'll watch it's captured reflection,

In the hearts of those who dare to gaze,

At the embers of my final flare,

a dance of flames.

In that last sigh of the universe,

I’ll know I was a beacon,

Even if just for a moment’s breath,

A brilliant spark,

In the endless depths.

But one who dared to burn.
