Rhymes for the Still Standing

Burn Me Into Being

I rose from silence, forged by fire,

Not built for peace, but raw desire.

The world may press, the winds may bend—

But I will rise and rise again.

The stars don’t speak, yet still they gleam,

Reminding me to chase the dream.

They need no name to make me see—

The light I need burns deep in me.

These scars are not a mark of shame,

But proof I walked through fear and flame.

Each wound I wear, I wear with grace—

A map of how I found my place.

Not all who roam are led astray,

Some pave their soul into the way.

I lost myself to find my core,

Then came back louder than before.

Let fear knock loud—I won’t retreat.

I've danced with doubt and stayed on beat.

Hope isn’t soft, it’s sharp and true—

A blade I forged when I broke through.

So ask me how I still remain—

Through love, through loss, through joy, through pain.

No fate, no luck carved out this skin—

Just fight, and fire, and grit within.
