Bubbles

Colour my Thoughts

By Valerie Lorraine Published 5 years ago 1 min read

Could you imagine being a bubble?

All that air filling you to capacity

The edges and curves of your skin stretch and shape

Perfectly round, elongated, morphing. Just new, growing and changing before our eyes

And the beautiful colours and hues start to form on your parts

Pretty, as they spark off little rays of sun and dance back and forth over your shiny thin skin

You are so beautiful, only here for a moment in time

You are so busy being you, you have no idea how magnificent you are, or how fleeting your moments will be

But I got to see you shine as your aura dances in the gentle sun

And I hear giggles in the background

It warms me and will make the memory brighter

Then you lift a little higher and pop

Dotting us with soapy light and love

Bubble I love you

You made me think about how fragile life is

As how much beauty and joy you gave as you briefly glimmered into our vision

You were so unaware

As we laughed and ran and played all because of you in that moment.

Little ones chasing you and adoring you, just being, truly living

I never grew up bubble, I still want you, in my timely moments of playfulness

I understand you

A little more precious than I ever thought

Such a simple joy, but one I would not want to go without.

I hope I am like you bubble.

Humbly unaware, I carry on. I shine and dance, the joy of just being me, seen and appreciated for this world.
