Girls gathered in a group, chewing little clumps of sweetness.
Smacking their pink glossy lips to taste the fruity flavors.
Laughing and talking over the mass of a chewy wad in their mouths.
Girls laughing and giggling, enjoying their little palavers.
Competitions are ongoing for the largest bubble blown.
Each young girl chewing and blowing, chewing and blowing.
Hair blows into mouths and creates a yucky, nasty sticky mess.
Conversations as to the best brand of gum are forever ongoing.
Small pink bubblegum bubbles pop in young pretty faces.
Strings of gum stuck to each girl's cheeks and chin
Laughter is surely the best medicine for these healthy girls.
Bubblegum candy can sure make one grin.

Laughter is indeed the best medicine. It's cheap too!
This one is just sweetness from beginning to end! I think you're familiar with the poems of Walt Whitman, Mother? The constructions are most reminiscent of his, but it's what we might call a bubblegum version! That is, a fun and nostalgic look at something we might see everyday, reminding us why the simple things in life are sometimes the most beloved. Oh, and the illustration you chose is just perfect!
