Brothers of Valor
A short poem celebrating the bond between Lord Rama and Lakshmana
In Ayodhya’s ancient halls they stood, Rama, the righteous prince, and Lakshmana, bold. Brothers by blood, yet more than kin, Their bond unbreakable, their loyalty akin.
Lakshmana, the fortunate one, by Rama’s side, Saumitra, son of Sumitra, his unwavering guide. Together they roamed the forest’s wild, Facing demons, challenges, and destiny’s trial.
In Chitrakoot, where the trees whispered secrets, Lakshmana built a shelter, love’s sacred retreat. He served Rama and Sita with devotion pure, Their protector, their shield, steadfast and sure.
When Surpanakha, Ravana’s sister, dared to intrude, Lakshmana’s wrath flared, his courage renewed. He defended Sita, severed the demon’s nose, A brother’s love fierce, like the monsoon’s throes.
Through exile’s trials, they shared laughter and tears, Lakshmana, the loyal, dispelling all fears. In battles, he fought with valor untold, His bow and arrow striking foes bold.
So let us sing of Rama and Lakshmana’s tale, Of brotherhood, honor, and love that won’t fail. In the epic Ramayana, their legacy shines bright, Guiding hearts toward dharma, in day and night. 🌟
May good fortune befall Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita. 🙏
