She thought he was the one
The man who would love her forever
The man who would cherish and protect her
The man who would keep his promises

But he was not the one
He was the man who betrayed her
The man who hurt and neglected her
The man who broke his vows

She had to leave him
For her own sake and her children's
She had to face the world alone
With courage and resilience

She had to deal with the stigma
The judgment and the pity
She had to rebuild her life
With dignity and grace

She is not a victim
She is a survivor
She is not a failure
She is a fighter
