Broken Trust

Fading Bonds

By Andy KruPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

We used to be so close, so tight,

Our bond unbreakable, our trust so bright.

We laughed and cried, shared hopes and fears,

And wiped each other's falling tears.

We talked for hours, late at night,

Our souls bared, our hearts in sight.

We knew each other's every thought,

And in each other's company, we were sought.

But time passed by, and things went wrong,

Our friendship faded, our connection gone.

The words we spoke were full of spite,

Our anger fueled, our tempers light.

We drifted apart, so far and wide,

The chasm between us grew so wide.

Our hearts grew cold, our spirits low,

And we had nowhere else to go.

Now all that's left are memories,

Of the friendship that once used to be.

The laughs we shared, the tears we cried,

And how our bond was once so tried.

I wish we could turn back time,

And fix the things we left behind.

But now it's too late, and we must part,

Our friendship lost, our souls apart.
