Broken Things

...

By Atlas CreedPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

These feckless castaways,

Irreconcilable castaways.

What good if not a throw away?

Never again will they be the same.

Each crack a canyon formed,

Each flaw, opportunity reborn.

Take what room that once there was,

An opening for hope becomes.

Sealed with truth and gold,

Fired hot and cured with cold.

What good are these broken things?

Except to mend these broken things.

Silent, only now for show.

But within the cracks opportunity grows.

Silent and made anew.

Life restored, renewed

And hope again mended true.

For much like words and bones and hearts,

Inject by truth or beauty or art;

Broken things, remade by scratch,

Reborn again at last from start.
