A ribcage cracked, a painful sight,
A body shattered, a spirit's plight.
Each breath a labor, a heavy sigh,
As pain consumes, and hope runs dry.
Yet, from the darkness, a flicker of light,
A chance to heal, a renewed might.
With time and care, the bones will mend,
And strength will return, to the very end.
