A Heartbreak ....

We made promises of forever,

But now we're saying goodbye,

Our love that once burned so bright,

Now flickers and slowly dies.

I gave you my heart and soul,

But it seems that wasn't enough,

You chose to leave me here alone,

With nothing but shattered trust.

Our memories now haunt me,

As I try to mend my broken heart,

But it seems that with every step I take,

I'm drifting further apart.

The promises we made were empty,

Just words without any meaning,

You played me like a game,

And left my heart forever bleeding.

I thought our love was pure,

But now I see it was all a lie,

You took my love for granted,

And left me here to cry.

Now I'm left with nothing,

But the pain of a broken heart,

And the memories of a love,

That was torn apart.

So goodbye my love, my heart is broken,

And though it hurts to let you go,

I know that I deserve better,

Than the broken promises you bestowed.
