Broken Fingers

Poems

Broken Fingers

Broken fingers but I keep on writing

The words are across the walls

Showing the pain within

I don't clean the words from my poetry

I just write over it

Hoping to cover up history

A history of mistakes

A history of pain

I keep writing over the words on my walls

Trying to remove all these feelings

By writing poetry

My blank walls covered in words

Words that no one else knows

Yet they never go, the words stay hidden beneath layers

The words just keep building never cleaning.

Lend Me Your Heart

Lend me your heart

I promise not to break it

I'll treat it like it's my own

I'll safely lock it away

So it never sees darkness again

Protected by my walls

That will stop anyone else from breaking it

Locked Door

Behind the locked door

There lies the trust

The key forever hung up

Because if I unlock that door

Even for you

And you walk away

I'm the only one to blame

For when I get hurt

So please don't wait

Because that door

Stays forever locked.

Poem

Trees stand bare

Crisp leaves spread among the floor

Moon light guiding the way

Through the darkness of the night

Hustling wind blows

Through the meadow

As she leaves
