Physical vs mental

Truth

When I refused to leave my room,

I was crying because your voice hurt my ears.

When I begged to keep the light on,

The shadows in my room were suffocating me.

When you complained about me not going out,

the thought of being in a group of people paralyzed me.

When you begged me to take meds,

I already had once and they had me screaming at everyone.

When you pointed out my weight gain,

I was trying to survive.

When you pointed out they weren't helping,

It was the first time I had a full night sleep.

When you worried about me getting sick,

what you didn't realize,

That was the choice I had to make.

I had to choice between being physically okay or being mentally okay.

I can counter the physical,

The mental almost killed me.

I chose to live.
