Broken Dreams On White Pages

Divorce papers tell a story of love, loss, and new beginnings.

Divorce papers sit on the table,

Crisp and white, but heavy with pain.

They tell the story of our love,

Now crumbling like a sandcastle in rain.

I look at the words, black on white,

And remember how we used to be.

The laughter, the hopes, the shared dreams,

Now just ghosts of you and me.

Our wedding day, so bright and joyful,

Feels like it happened to someone else.

The vows we made, the promises kept,

Now gathering dust on forgotten shelves.

When did our love start to fade?

Was it sudden, or bit by bit?

The little things we used to cherish,

Turned sour, no longer a perfect fit.

Divorce papers, cold and unfeeling,

Ask us to divide our shared life.

The home we built, the things we loved,

Now symbols of our ended strife.

I pick up the pen, hand shaking,

Ready to sign my name and be done.

But memories flood in, uninvited,

Of the good times, the laughter, the fun.

For a moment, I wonder and hope,

Could we fix this? Give it one more try?

But deep down, I know it's over,

It's time to let go, time to say goodbye.

So I sign the divorce papers,

My name a full stop to our tale.

It hurts, but it also feels freeing,

Like I'm setting sail in a fresh gale.

I stand up, gather the pages,

And take one last look around.

This room holds so many memories,

But it's time to leave, no longer bound.

As I step out into the evening,

The stars above seem to shine bright.

Yes, one dream may have ended,

But maybe a new one's in sight.

The weight of what's broken is heavy,

But I'm stronger than I knew.

These divorce papers close a chapter,

But my story's far from through.

I'll take it slowly, day by day,

Healing, learning, growing strong.

Finding new joys, new adventures,

Humming life's continuing song.

For though love's end brings sorrow,

It also opens brand new doors.

To rediscover who I am,

And what my heart's still beating for.

So I'll face tomorrow bravely,

Ready for whatever may come.

Those white pages now behind me,

As I step towards a new dawn.

Whoa, this is deep and raw yet kinda hopeful too! You nailed that bittersweet vibe—it’s like heartbreak with a side of "I got this." Definitely hits hard but leaves you rooting for brighter days ahead. Keep spinning these emotions into magic!✨👏
