We are out here chasing the dream
What dream you ask the American dream
But not everything we see is what is seems
Especially for those who look like me
Too many setbacks let downs and broken promises
I want what the other man has but without tricking
Or making others feel like they are pushed in the back
Is it supposed to be everybody but it is sickening
How most get over to get there real quick
The ways and the days led to some not being pick
Is everybody really created equal
Or just those who want to support their own people
