Broken Betrayal

A Poem

By Author Billiejo PriestleyPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

He pulled me apart

Ripping me to shreds watching me in pain

He told me that I am broken

He fooled me once and I forgave him

He left me with a broken heart

He fooled me twice and I forgave him

His actions a reminder of that time

Devil in a form of a man

He pushed me down to the floor

His words ripping me apart

He told me I would be forever broken

He laughed as I fought

My weak body laying on the floor

Hard as a jury I fought

My crippled body on the floor

My hand brushing it off

Yet it keeps showing

He broke me down to my core

His love destroying my soul

I no longer fought

He won the war
