If only I could be somebody as simple as myself
With no other worry other than to be me.
I find my life in the falling leaves,
Each one telling their own story;
Each one being swept away,
Left to decompose in the shadows of others.
Wet, forgotten and alone
As my very memory smothers
My very existence.
My life is to give back.
My life is to love.
To nurture others so they not lack
The knowledge to further on.
But I lost myself along the way.
For the days you feel that you can not be yourself
Remember that is all you can be!

I've been writing for years. Not always great... but it means a lot to me
