Breathless

Another stranger

Yet not unknown

A passing glance

Imprinted on the soul

An indescribable warmth

Yet an anxious joy

A cloak of comfort

I could not avoid

An explosion of energy

Penetrating every nerve

A feeling undeniably fixed

As every part of me yearns

A tether of a sort

I could not escape

Every ounce of me pulling towards

Magnetic, like fate

My vision is blurred

Except where my focus is you

Nothing else matters

In an instant I knew

It might have been the sweaty palms

The simple words that I got wrong

A rush that blushed my cheeks and palms

Suddenly enthralled with a love so strong

A once upon a time

A wish come true

An answered prayer

When I found you

love poems
