When they disrespect you

What truly matters is how you respect yourself
When you are treated badly
Breathe
The truest test of character
Is refusing to drink their poison
When they waste their life
With petty and ridiculous attempts to destroy you
Breathe
You are a beacon of light
To which darkness cannot contend
When the tides turn
(And believe me my dear ones, they will)
And the power now lies solely in your hands
Breathe
Abstain from contributing to the ugly destruction
Rise, fierce warrior!
Like the dust, RISE!
Remember...
These things are NOT you!
They cannot touch you!
Stand tall in the truth that is YOU
Always remain true to YOUR higher power
To a deeper truth beyond their capabilities
Constantly sourcing from light and love
From a place of pure awakening
Unperturbed by the unconscious ones
Remain steadfast in doing YOU
To the best of your ability, do YOU
Again...
Breathe
There is beauty
There is goodness
There is hope
All of these are YOU
And you, are them

Digital technology is the culprit that is causing us to doom scroll when tired, disengaged and unmotivated with the content that motivated you to log onto your device to consume in the first place. That is only the beginning. In the modern workplace (and even when filing cabinets were around, I confirmed this with my adopted parents to get my facts right); reading files while you are supposed to be present to the caller on the other end of the phone line is another classic example of multitasking that causes your brain (although adaptable and intelligent) to lose focus and concentration.
