Breast Cancer
Dedicated to My Mom...
All the doctors
all the tests
all because of a lump in my breast.
All the thoughts
whirl in my head
wondering if in a year I may soon be dead.
All the poking
the prodding and more
just to see if it makes my breast sore.
I pray each day
that I'll be alright
but tears fall on my pillow at night.
My family needs me
this I know
not this lump in my breast below.
Cut me, cure me
take it away
and cancer free is what they'll say.
And I smile again
no worries in sight
Cancer Free means I'll be alright.
