I will take my mind out of reality and bring it to peace.

Shut off every insignificant reminder,

turn the world on silent

and breathe.

Peace has introduced itself to me

and I intend to make myself acquainted.

Anyone who decides to get in our way

will face my silence

as I refuse to lose something so precious.

The past version of myself would push peace away,

this version welcomes peace with open arms

and wants to be enveloped by theirs.

My mind no longer has the constant noise

keeping me awake at night

and never knowing restful sleep.

My days are brighter, even if the clouds are blocking the sun

my smile is bigger, even if I received bad news

and my heart is pure, even though it has been through war.

I will protect the reality I have created for myself

if it is the last thing I ever do.
