Stability is never going to be found in other people

Everyone is facing their own struggles

Relying on someone is like walking on a frozen lake

Its going good

Its all fun and games

Until it isn’t

You hear the crack that starts under you

And radiates meters infront

That’s your heart

That’s your soul

You hear the crack

It manifests inside your stomach

You hear the crack

It makes your head overflowing with anxiety

You hear the crack

And you know its happening again

Disappointment

Doubt

Emptiness

You think to yourself how can I ever trust another

How can I make myself vulnerable again

How did I not just walk away

How did I not just see this coming

The truth is honey, you did

You saw it coming

You felt how thin the ice was under your shoe

Long before you heard the crack

But you chose to put your weight down anyway

You chose to trust anyway

The choice wasn’t good, it wasn’t thought out

But what’s braver than trusting another

Maybe it didn’t work out as you wanted it to

Fair enough IT SUCKS

But give yourself a pat on the back

Make yourself a tea

And be grateful to yourself

That despite this cold and scary world

Where most people are as closed up as a safe

Harder to enter than a cash register at midnight

You are brave enough to be vulnerable

Cheers to that Hun

And Cheers to you.
