"Brave Face"

"Brave Face"

By ElliePublished 9 months ago 1 min read

I smiled…

But silence echoed louder than my laugh.

I wanted to scream—louder, louder—

But I whispered to myself,

No… you're brave.

Tears begged to fall,

But I said,

“No, not this time. I hate crying.”

So I wiped them away

And stood tall.

No more running from the rain,

No more fear of the cold,

No more hiding from the mess—

I am not weak.

This time,

I'll face it all

With a brave face.

Let the storm try me.

Let the world test me.

I won’t let anyone

Make me fall.

This time…

I’m going to win.
