When did the world get soft?

There used to be a time where we were able to express ourselves without judgement.

A time we could give constructive criticism, not to tare down the person but to help with grow as an individual.

But somewhere down the line peoples egos became too big and suddenly an opinion is offensive- Freedom of speech is now a hate crime.

Not saying there wasn't hateful people, who just shit on everyone's parade- but we aren't talking about those people.

"Those people" can be real nasty.

We are talking about the ones who are honest and are here to look out for others,

The honest people who aren't afraid to speak their minds, only because they care.

Unfortunately, somewhere down the line people became too sensitive,

Now even freedom of speech is becoming a crime.

It's becoming harder and harder for an individual to express themselves without becoming a hate crime or hate speech.

Maybe the internet ruined that, social media did have a big hand at play with that.

When they said not to believe everything you see on the internet, they mean it.

Can we go back to the time we can speak our minds and not be punished?
