Brain Freeze

A Poem

....... Brain freeze....

So tired of reading about the horrors and hate

Of news full of doom and gloom

Disappointed in the human kind

So many assholes in the world

Wish I could escape somewhere

But where?

Like we used to say, escape to the moon to get away from people

But even the moon, the entire space will be full of them soon

Wankers and greedy fuckers

Poisoning the space like they are poisoning our planet

And our thoughts

Turning us against each other

I really thought the human kind had evolved further

But no

We are just as big idiots as we were before

Or maybe even worse, since we don’t seem to learn from the past

Extremism on the rise everywhere

Yet the silent majority does what it has always done

Nothing

Letting shit happen like they did before

Because it’s none of their business

But they are wrong

So wrong

Of course, what happens in the world involves them

Nobody lives in a bubble

We are all intertwined, our futures tied together and to this planet

Our planet that we have abused and continue to abuse

Cutting down forests and poisoning our waterways

Can’t even drink rainwater now anywhere in the world

We have even poisoned the rain

But that should not really surprise anyone

Humans have a talent for poisoning everything

A talent for destroying everything

Wish I could freeze my brain

Defrost it again when the world was a better place

The thing is

We could have that now

If only the silent majority woke the fuck up

Stopped burying their heads in the stand

Because while there are millions of shitbags on the planet

There are even more good people

I have to believe that

.....Have to....
