Bounty

Recollections

By Cindy CalderPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

The older I become, I repeatedly see into the visage of my mind where memories unfold

To a wealth of recollections, many of which were never shared and never told.

So many gardens and graves of what has been,

Tears falling like leaves to scatter about at the end.

Life’s a mere fraction of a beautiful gift

Though it feels so contrived and purely a myth.

As the sunset looms near, may regret lift with a soft sigh,

And may hope be ours as death draws nigh.

Oh, Spirit Most Divine,

Lead onward toward the bounty we’ve yet to find.
