In the tapestry of our love's embrace,
Beyond measure, it found its place.
Though miles apart, our hearts entwined,
In defiance of fate, our love defined.
Separated by borders, fate's cruel decree,
Yet our souls, bound by love's decree.
Amidst differences that set us apart,
Our love remained, a flame in the dark.
Yearning for the day when we'll unite,
Hoping the universe will align just right.
Despite dissent from those we hold dear,
Our love persists, undimmed by fear.
Together, we'll weather every storm,
For in each other, we've found our home.
Bound by love's unbreakable tether,
Forever and always, now and forever.

FPS: The Last Flame Challenge Winners
Welcome to our first Winners Announcement of the year and to the final challenge in the Fall Poetry Series. The Last Flame invited writers to sit with endings, using fire as a central image to consider what remains when something burns out: ash, warmth, memory, silence, or the faint promise of what comes next. The strongest pieces treated endings as gradual rather than sudden, allowing them to flicker, dim, and linger.
