Oh, black beating heart
Whom I serve day and night
How do I appease you?
Is there an answer in sight?
Your depths are bottomless
Screaming for brief pleasure
Your lust is a beast untamed
Your resolve is without measure
So let us search for the remedy
And fill our bellies with good company
Let us drink our sorrows away
And swim in our sea of money
Let us wear a golden crown
And sit on a bejeweled throne
Let all bow before the grandeur
Of the empire we have sown
See, now the world is our footstool
The hunt for our glory is spent
Yet one treasure remains hidden;
The secret of being content
