I like the originality to double up on the second and third lines, especially in a haiku. The image immediately leads you to contrast fences with monster claws- both of which don't sound good...

This is true horror, isnt it, the reality in this.

Such a powerful use of brevity. In just a few lines, you capture the inescapable tension of fleeing oppression only to find it mirrored elsewhere.
