Book of Days

Poem based on the Memoir written by Forrest Fenn. A chase for a treasure chest hidden in the mountains ends when Forrest Fenn announced "Guy from back east found it".

By Khatam AminPublished 5 years ago 3 min read

As I have gone alone in there

And with my treasures bold,

I can keep my secret where,

And hint of new riches and old.

Begin it where warm waters halt

And take it in the canyon down,

Not far, but too far to walk.

Put in below the Home of Brown.

From there it's no place for the meek,

The end is ever drawing nigh;

There'll be no puddle up your creek,

Just heavy loads and water high.

If you've been wise and found the blaze,

Look quickly down, your quest to cease,

But tarry scant with marvel gaze,

Just take the chest go in peace.

So why is it that I must go

And leave my trove for all to seek?

The answers I already know,

I've done it tired, and now I'm weak.

So hear me all and listen good,

Your effort will be worth the cold.

If you are brave and in the wood

I give you title to the gold

Read this poem above Matsur from Uz-back-east-an

Didn’t understand any word or hint from Forrest Fenn

Just kept thinking about the "Home of Brown"

Isn’t the grave our last home and destination?

He started searching for Cemetery Brown

Across the mountains, river and canyon down

He found one in Big Sky Country

Nothing to lose started journey a man free

"Challenge called The Thrill of Chase"

A Memoir written by Forrest Fenn

Hidden in rocky mountain treasure chest

Wrote a poem challenging brave and the best

Fifteen yeas Forrest spent to hide the chest

The spot was his favorite place he said

His aim was to take kids out from their couches to start the quest

To fight laziness and for the jobless an aid

Matsur went to the Cemetery Brown

State of Montana all the way canyon down

He passed the night under canopy of Stars

With every kind animal, imagining dancing with stars

He saw wagons where gypsy sang and danced

He laid to the place where Forrest used to watch

Next day "It is not under wagons" Forrest Fenn announced

Beautiful art places to go than to sit at home on couch

Many wishes and ideas with what to do on mind

Matsur wanted forty orphans to adopt to teach them kind

But refused to take anything from the gold

With full faith he trusted "Life gives me whatever is mine when I am old"

Matsur didn't touch the treasure from the valuable and gold

Remembered his Mother's wise words she has told

"Don't choose gold choose blessing, Blessing worth more than gold"

He took small black notebook and special thing nowhere is sold

Book of Days written on small black notebook

Thanked The Life for making him special

To Forrest Fenn the small black notebook he took

Mr. Fenn encouraged him to write his own book

Paid 20.000$ for a copy with an autograph and flowers

Suggested to show the world his art and solution to his book

Departed Forrest Fenn this road and vale

Still empty hands and nothing he could take even left his book

Don't be sad don't feel bad for not finding the gold of chest

Why you lost hope? there are still treasure out there in different way

Book of Days guides you in full of light in your chest

Don't lose hope to see again Mr. Fenn in a beautiful day

As Matsur was looking for publisher for his book

Ad came to his way from publisher Vocal

Main reason for this challenge he took

Maybe it was destiny to publish his book with Vocal
