Boiling Over

My heritage gave me the power of two languages:

love and rage.

I was born from love and loved everything,

until I was taught how to hate.

The hate grew beyond what was expected from the hurts I have felt for many years.

Now, I used that rage as a weapon,

a dagger waiting for its next taste of blood.

For I have been wronged for too long,

and this volcano is ready to erupt and burn everything to the ground.

So fear me, for I still can love deeply and truly,

but once that love is gone,

you will know my rage.
